This site asks you for no personal data. Visits are counted with Yandex Metrica; what it sees and how to opt out is explained below.

Short version: this site never asks you for data, but it counts visits with Yandex Metrica. The details follow.
Yandex Metrica
The site runs a Yandex Metrica counter (no. 113811474). It tells us which pages people read, where they come from and where a page fails them, so the guide is fixed using data rather than guesswork.
Metrica receives the page address and referrer, an approximate region derived from your IP address, device and browser type, time on page, clicks and scrolling. Session Replay (an anonymous recording of movements, clicks and scrolling) and click maps are enabled. Session Replay does not record what is typed into fields, and the site has no fields anyway.
Metrica sets its own cookies (_ym_uid, _ym_d and similar) and processes data under the Yandex Metrica terms of use. We only see aggregated reports and session recordings without names, phone numbers or email addresses.
Opting out. Use the official Metrica opt-out add-on or any tracker blocker. The site works fully without the counter.
What this site does not have
No ad networks or tracking pixels. No Google Analytics.
No social media widgets. Share buttons are plain links that load no third-party code.
No external fonts. Fonts are served from our own server.
No forms. No registration, comments, newsletter or cart.
YouTube videos
Some pages include third-party videos. Until you press “Play video”, the page makes no request to YouTube at all: the cover image and button are ours. The player loads from youtube-nocookie.com only after you press play.
What is stored in your browser
Your theme preference, light or dark, in localStorage. Never sent to us.
The offline cache. A service worker keeps the pages you opened so they work without signal, which you will not have in Charyn Canyon. The cache stays in your browser.

Server logs
The host keeps technical request logs: IP address, time, page address, browser version. They are used for diagnostics and attack protection and are not shared with third parties.
