What park services cost: guides, filming, yurts, buses

Everyone discusses the entry price, yet in the tariff order it takes one or two lines out of twenty-odd. The rest are services — escorts, filming, accommodation, transport — and for a group, a photographer or a tour operator they make up the budget.

All sums use the 2026 index (4,325 ₸). A dash means the territory’s appendix has no such line or the service is not offered.

Guide and ranger escort

18 of 28 territories list it, but the charging unit differs: per group of up to 6, 10, 15 or 20 — 14; per person — 3; per hour — 1. The rates are therefore not directly comparable — the unit is shown next to each. The most common formula is per day for a group of up to 20.

Photo and video shoots

The most surprising line in the order: “conducting film, video and photo shoots while visiting and studying objects of the nature reserve fund”. Photography costs 11,504.5 ₸–31,140 ₸, film and video 14,099.5 ₸–70,584 ₸; for most territories that is per day, for five the unit is not stated in the row.

Burabay, under a different act

Burabay reports to the Presidential Property Management Department; its tariffs come from Order No. 04/276 of 14 November 2024. The key difference is a seasonal surcharge on entry: on weekends and public holidays from 1 May to 30 September a car pays 0.4 MCI instead of 0.3, a minibus 1.5 instead of 1.0, buses 2.5 and 3.5 instead of 2.0 and 3.0. The base rate applies on weekdays and for the rest of the year.

Filming there is also charged by the hour: photo 1.21 MCI per hour or 6.77 per day, video 1.89 per hour or 14.89 per day.

Reading these figures
