The region is derived from the districts named in the register, so a territory spanning several regions falls under the first district listed. Exact boundaries are in the resolution itself.
How to use this
The count of territories says little about what you can visit: half the register consists of sanctuaries and natural monuments that an ordinary visitor will not go to, and often may not.
Category is the more useful signal: national parks are open, strict reserves are not. Categories explained.
