How we make money
Affiliate links and advertising. We do not sell tours and we do not take payment for a mention.

The site runs on affiliate commissions and advertising. We disclose this fully, because how a site earns determines what you can trust in its text.
What an affiliate link is
If you follow such a link to a booking service and pay for something there, we receive a commission from the service. The price to you does not change.
Where a link is an affiliate link, it is marked as such.
What we do not do
We do not sell tours. We have no travel product of our own, which is why we can write that two people with a car are better off driving themselves — and regularly do.
We do not take payment for mentioning a place. A location appears here because people ask about it, not because someone paid.
We do not sell park entry tickets or permits. Entry is paid only at the park checkpoint.
We do not change an assessment for money. If somewhere is poor, overpriced or overrated, we say so, affiliate programme or not.
Why this matters here specifically
Most resources in the travel niche earn by selling tours. That creates a conflict of interest: recommending an independent trip is against the interests of whoever sells the organised one.
We are not in that conflict, which is why our cost breakdown ends with the conclusion that driving yourself is usually cheaper.
